Apple would aim for a presentation at WWDC 2022, the developer conference held each year in June.

There are only a few months left for the Apple firm to complete the transition from Intel processors to ARM Apple Silicon chips.

A 27-inch iMac Pro mini-LED for WWDC 2022?

If the bulk of the work is done with the release of the 13-inch MacBook Pro, a new iMac M1 and more recently the 14-inch MacBook Pro and its 16-inch version, there are still two references that have not yet been updated. day by brand.

The iMac Pro was indeed removed from Apple’s catalog in 2021 and has not been replaced since. But, according to DSCC display supply chain analyst Ross Young, a new model could be available as early as June 2022.

The device would probably inherit a new design, like the iMac M1, an M1 Pro or M1 Max processor, but would also benefit from a 27-inch mini-LED panel, like the iPad Pro with 4,000 diodes powering the display for approximately 1,000 individually controlled lighting zones. This panel would also benefit from ProMotion technology, i.e. adaptive refresh at 120 Hz.

The presentation of this new iMac Pro could take place during WWDC 2022, Apple’s developer conference which is usually held in the first days of June. The launch should follow in the following days.

We can also expect Apple to mention the Mac Pro, the most powerful machine in its catalog which remains the only one still equipped with chips designed by Intel.
