The immense grief of Clessé, a village bereaved by the murder of Emma

The emotion was immense Monday evening in Clessé. Hundreds of people gathered for a white march organized in honor of Emma, who was found dead last Thursday behind a school. The 13-year-old was brutally stabbed and her 14-year-old boyfriend was arrested hours later. The “Journal de Saône-et-Loire” indicates that at least 800 people gathered to pay tribute to the young girl. Her parents were present and laid a flower before saying a few words. “We want to thank you all for being there for Emma. And the only thing we want is for her to stay in our hearts,” said her mother, Nathalie.

The white march was also led by the riding club where the victim practiced his passion. “Everyone knew that she loved this pony, so it is towards her horse that they want to turn to pay homage to her,” Fanny, instructor at the Laizé estate, told BFMTV on Sunday. The mayor of the village, for his part, hailed the dignity of Emma’s parents. “They are great people. Of course they are angry, but they don’t show it. You lose an only daughter, it’s atrocious,” he said, quoted by TF1.
