Becoming a manager: a false good idea? Not necessarily. What is certain, on the other hand, is that you have to weigh the pros and cons, and know yourself well before managing others… Because accepting to be a manager implies having a role important in the professional life of its teams… and therefore in their everyday life. Thus, an individual who thinks only of himself and doesn’t care about his surroundings will probably not be a good supervisor. A trend is emerging: that of management blues. One in five executives are not interested in a position where they would have to manage teams, according to a survey conducted by OpinionWay at the end of 2021. An even more recent study by BCG confirms this trend.
