The inter-union of SFR opposes the new social plan deemed “fraudulent”

The summer break is already far away for SFR employees. In full return, a wave of departures is already looming, targeting around 1,700 jobs, or nearly one in five group employees. The representatives of the personnel of the various entities of the operator must give their opinions on the social plan by Monday, September 6. It can then be formally submitted to the regional and interdepartmental directorate of the economy, employment, labor and solidarity (Drieets, formerly the Direccte), a prerequisite before the opening of the departure desk in the coming weeks. .

Surprised by the announcement of the social plan in March, the SFR unions contest it both in form and in substance. On the form, first of all, because the procedure is, according to them, tainted with irregularities. The secretaries of the operator’s central social and economic committee (CSE) thus refused, Wednesday 1er September, to issue an opinion on the restructuring plan on the grounds that it would be affected by“Manifest illegalities”, they write in a resolution adopted unanimously, that The world was able to consult.

A direction “in steamroller mode”

The inter-union, which brings together the majority unions of the company (UNSA, CFDT and CFTC), accuses its management in particular of having violated the agreements made in parallel with the previous departure plan of 5,000 positions in 2017. At the time. , SFR was committed to a “new deal”, which guaranteed the protection of jobs until the end of 2020. According to the unions, the new social plan was decided during this period, which could constitute a fraud to these agreements. Especially since in October 2020, the leaders of SFR were still optimistic about the maintenance of jobs in the years to come. The case was brought before the Paris court, which is due to rule on September 21.

Another complaint: the voluntary departure plan currently being prepared would target specific positions. “43% of the targeted employees [par le plan] are alone in their categories [d’emplois] and 27% of the deleted posts belong to totally deleted categories ”, thus observe elected officials on the basis of the report of the Sextant cabinet, which assisted them. They also express their concerns about the working conditions of the employees who will remain in the group after the next downsizing.
