More than ten years after the Chevaline massacre, which killed four people, the investigating judge in charge of the case decided to focus the research on the only certainty established so far in this case: the murder weapon. .
The mystery has remained unsolved for more than ten years. On September 5, 2012, a cyclist discovered, at the edge of a forest road located in the town of Doussard, the bodies of four people. Among them, a cyclistSylvain Mollier, as well as three members of the Al-Hilli family. Originally from Iraq and residing in the United Kingdom, they had come on vacation to this region of Haute-Savoie with in particular their two daughters, survivors of the killing. Last September, the investigating judge Sabine Khéris, in charge of the investigation at the “cold case” judicial center of Nanterre, decided to relaunch the investigation into the murder weapon. A weapon prized by collectors
According to experts, the slaughter of Chevaline would have lasted a maximum of 90 seconds.
