“The kangaroo conspiracy”, the second part of the kangaroo saga, is filmed. This time under the direction of kangaroo creator Marc-Uwe Kling.

“Even funnier, more exciting, even more political and 25 percent more kangaroo for the same price”, promise director Marc-Uwe Kling (born 1982) and Co. at the start of the shooting of “The Kangaroo Conspiracy”, the second part of the kangaroo saga . The first film, the adaptation of the novel “The Kangaroo Chronicles” (2020), was directed by the Swiss Dani Levy (63) and Kling wrote the screenplay. The new script was created in collaboration between Kling and Jan Cronauer (born 1979).

Not much is revealed about the content of the second film, except: “It is not a book adaptation, but a story of its own that has never existed before,” as X Verleih AG said when asked by spot on news.

Old and new faces

In front of the camera of Markus Nestroy (41, “Freud”), the kangaroo (voice coach: Marc-Uwe Kling, stuntman: Volker Zack, 49) and in the production design by Tim Pannen (“Die Kangaroo Chronicles”, “Paula”) and Dimitrij Schaad (35) as Marc-Uwe the main roles. Also participating again are actress Rosalie Thomass (33) as Maria, Tim Seyfi (49) and Adnan Maral (52) as the Späti bosses Otto-Von and Friedrich-Wilhelm Yilmaz as well as the Berlin actress Carmen-Maja Antoni (75 ) as the indestructible innkeeper Herta.

New to the cast, however, are this time: Petra Kleinert (53, “Check Check”) as Lisbeth Schlabotnik, Michael Ostrowski (48, forensic doctor Günther in the Eberhof thriller) as Joe, Benno Fürmann (49, “The Blind Spot”) as Adam Krieger as well Melanie Straub (born 1976, “Systemsprenger”) as Tina – and Volker Zack (kangaroo stuntman) as Heinz.

“The Kangaroo Conspiracy” is slated to hit cinemas in autumn 2022.
