In the second season “The Kardashians” also Pete Davidson (“The King of Staten Island”) can be seen. However, the comedian was relegated to the sidelines following Kim Kardashian’s split.
- The Kardashians is entering its second season on Disney+ and Hulu.
- ‘Saturday Night Live’ comedian Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian split just before the show.
- As in the old “Keeping up with the Kardashians” days, the focus is again on the family clan.
The Kardashians premieres Thursday on Disney+ for its second season. The previous format “Keeping up with the Kardashians” was discontinued in 2020 after 20 seasons. This was followed by the move from E! Entertainment to Disney.
The first season of “The Kardashians” only aired in the spring
After the Kardashian clan first appeared on Disney+ (or Hulu) in April, the world’s most famous reality TV family is back with new episodes just a few months later. In the second season, “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson was supposed to play a leading role.
Pete Davidson largely disappears from Season 2 after split from Kim
After all, family workhorse Kim Kardashian was dating the comedian just as filming for the second season began. However, the two have since split up. According to US media such as “The Cosmopolitan”, the part that Davidson now plays in the second season has shrunk to a minimum.
The new episodes were originally promoted with a trailer at the end of which Kim Kardashian asked Davidson if he wanted to take a shower with her, prompting the comedian to drop everything and rush after his (then) adored girl.
Davidson was good enough for a (rare) laugh in the trailer
As a result, it was initially assumed that their relationship could play a central role in the second season, even after the separation, this was still not impossible. But now there seems to be little “screen time” for Pete Davidson.
Season 2 of The Kardashians premieres Thursday, September 22nd on Disney+. A new episode is released weekly.
