The Kim Wall Affair from Monday, November 28 at 10:50 p.m. on France 2!

The Kim Wall Affair is a six-part Danish miniseries by Tobias Lindholm (Borgen) that traces the true investigation into the horrific murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall in 2017. A story that horrified the whole world.

On the casting side, Søren Malling (Borgen), lends his features to Jens Møller. He is accompanied by Pilou Asbæk (Game of Thrones), Pernilla August (Young Royals), Rolf Lassgård (After the wedding), Laura Christensen (The Killing) but also Dulfi Al-Jabouri (Shorta).

On August 11, 2017, the Copenhagen police are working on the strange case of a homemade submarine that has just sunk in the strait that separates Denmark and Sweden. While the designer of the submersible, a Danish inventor, is rescued in extremis, journalist Kim Wall is reported missing. In charge of the case without doubt the most important of his career, Jens Møller, who heads the criminal brigade of the Danish capital, will have to lift the veil on what journalists will call “the Affair of the submarine”.

Quickly, the investigators imagine that it is a murder and arrest the builder of the submarine, their only suspect. Then begins a long and meticulous investigation which will last several months during which Jens Møller and his men will discover one after the other the circumstances of the tragedy which took place the night of August 10 to 11, 2017.

And that is what The Kim Wall Affair is about, namely the story of these exhausting searches which finally made it possible to find the members of the body of the journalist. For several weeks, everyone worked tirelessly and faced seemingly insurmountable odds to gather evidence to bring justice to the Wall family.

Ultimately, the purpose of the series is not to focus on the story of the killer or on the sordid details of the murder of Kim Wall but to highlight the process of this investigation. At no time is the name of the murderer mentioned. What counts here is the meticulousness of the research, the psychology and the abnegation of those who, despite the doubts, were able to solve this case.

A series not to be missed!
