The Kobo Clara 2E eReader test has joined our comparison

This Kobo Clara 2 E is a good reader in its 6-inch category, thanks in particular to its quality HD screen, its ease of use, its backlighting and its rather well-stocked online library. Its function dedicated to audio books seems a bit of a gadget knowing that the mobile application is more suitable. Only its introductory price (150 €) challenges, especially against the 140 € of the Kindle Paperwhite whose screen is larger (6.8 inches) and which offers a night mode, without forgetting its IPX8 certification (waterproof); another potential competitor, the Vivlio Touch HD Plus (€139) with a 6-inch screen, anti-blue light function, waterproof and also compatible with audiobooks.

Alternatively

The Vivlio Touch HD Plus is surely the best equipped e-reader on the market at an affordable price. Some will blame it for the lack of a microSD port, but with 16 GB, you don’t have enough life to read the thousands of books it contains.
However, we are annoyed by the latencies, especially when it comes to scrolling through lists with your finger. Even switching from one page to another is not as fast as on a tablet or smartphone. Despite this downside, the Vivlio Touch HD Plus deserves some attention. It deserves a little more notoriety against the giants Kobo and Kindle.
