The Kominsky Method: Series with Michael Douglas comes to an end in season three

There will be a third and final season of the Netflix series "The Kominsky Method" starring Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin.

The Netflix series "The Kominsky Method" is discontinued – but receives a third and final season. This is reported, among other things, by the US industry magazine "Deadline". Accordingly, the two main actors Michael Douglas (75) and Alan Arkin (86) are on board again. So far, however, it is still unclear how many more episodes of the half-hour comedy series will be shot.

Start of shooting still uncertain

The exact date of the shooting start and the planned broadcast date are also not yet known. Due to the advanced age of Douglas and Arkin – and the associated belonging to the Covid 19 risk group – there should be a wait until filming can be carried out completely safely. The second season of the successful series was put online at the streaming portal in October 2019.

In "The Kominsky Method" Douglas plays the aged ex-actor and later acting teacher Sandy Kominsky in Hollywood. Together with his agent and friend Norman Newlander (Arkin), he masters the autumn of his life in a humorous way. The idea came from Chuck Lorre (67), who is known for his work on "The Big Bang Theory", "Two and a Half Men" or "Young Sheldon" and "Roseanne".
