The Lagrange Element raclette machine can be used as a pierrade


Winter is coming and with it its share of inconveniences: freezing temperatures, minimum sunshine, black ice… Oh joy, raclette is one of those convivial dishes that allow you to forget all your worries for a meal with friends. The French Lagrange thus offers a wide range of appliances for this recipe, including the Element model, which stands out from the others for its versatility.

Indeed, it can be taken out in autumn, or even in summer to take advantage of its large non-stick cooking plate and similar to a plancha, to be fixed above the resistances which are usually used to melt the cheese in the caquelons. Note that the Element even has a circular depression for making pancakes. But that’s not all, because Lagrange also planned to replace the plate with a stone intended for cooking thin slices of meat or fish.

It may not be the healthiest meal out there.

The Lagrange Element raclette machine is not among the most sophisticated and does not allow, for example, to modify the temperature by modulating the 1200 W power that it can deliver. Controls are limited to a simple on/off switch. However, it can accommodate up to eight guests in raclette mode, since eight pots and eight wooden spatulas are provided.

Good point, the electrical cord measures 2 m, which avoids cluttering the table with an extension socket. Finally, Lagrange points out that a large part of the Element’s components (the pans, the base of the machine, the power light, etc.) are designed and assembled in France. Other parts come from Italy (the stone and the resistance), Spain (the switch) and Portugal (the pads).

The Lagrange Element raclette grill is already available for €90. An abyss blue version is also available for €20 less.
