PARIS, July 25 (Reuters) – The fire that has ravaged 13,800 hectares since July 12 in Landiras (Gironde), near Langon, has been fixed, the prefect of New Aquitaine and Gironde, Fabienne Buccio, announced on Monday.
“The Landiras fire is now fixed, just like that of La Teste since Saturday,” she announced at a press conference, specifying that the evacuated residents are therefore authorized to return to their homes.
“Be careful, these lights are fixed, they are not extinguished,” she warned.
