The worst of them is what we might call a “white screen of death“, even if it is fundamentally different from its blue cousin.

After installing the KB5036893 update, Internet users noticed that their screen displayed a blank page in landscape modelike those which constitute theWindows Out of Box experience (OOBE). You see them when you turn on your machine for the first time. They ask you to accept the license agreement, sign in to a Microsoft account, etc. Here, the page displays nothing and it is impossible to skip it without carrying out any manipulation that we detail below.
Among the other bugs spotted, a member of the social network Reddit explains that after Patch Tuesday, when he “wake up [son] computer from sleep mode, none of [ses] two monitors won’t turn back on“. At the moment, there is a proven solution for white screen bug, but not for others. If you too see the blank page, you must disconnect the Internet then restart the computer. It’s not at all intuitive, but it works. Someone was able to stay connected, but had to disable “multiple random windows services in safe mode“.
