A few days before its release in the United States, we began to despair at the idea that the series The Last of Us finds no home in France. Following the separation between OCS and HBO, the series broadcast on the latter no longer had an official broadcaster in France and The Last of Us was the first to suffer. But good news, we learn today that Warner Bros (which owns HBO) has reached an agreement with Amazon Prime Video to bring the long-awaited series to us.

It is therefore on Amazon Prime Video that the series will be broadcast from January 16, starting with its first episode. Either more or less at the same time as the American broadcast, which begins on January 15 in the evening (so in the night with us, or January 16). The episodes will all be available both in VOST, but also in VFfor those who prefer this option.
The other good news, it is the fact that this series will be offered at no additional cost. We might have feared it, given that Amazon Prime Video is going to set up a “Warner Pass” which will allow access to the series of the American giant (such as Game Of Thrones, Chernobyl and Company. But The Last of Us will however be an exception, and will be available free of charge for those who have a standard Prime Video subscription.
