Before officially revealing The Last of Us: Part INeil Druckmann took the stage at the Summer Game Fest to make some enticing announcements. He revealed more about the multiplayer project around the franchise, and the television series coming in a few months on HBO.
As for the online experience, illustrated by a concept artit is described as “biggest” in studio history, just that. It takes place in an unexplored part of the United States, and will feature an original story around a cast of new characters. The information is still meager, but the game is officially scheduled for 2023.
On the side of the series, the real announcements will arrive “very soon”, but a first official image of Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal in the costumes of Joel and Ellie was presented. Neil Druckmann also confirmed that he had the chance to direct one of the episodes, and that the voice actors of the heroes in the games Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson would have a role (or simple cameo ?) in the series.
