The story of The Last Of Us takes place twenty years after the destruction of modern civilization following the spread of a virus from a fungus, called cordyceps, which infects humans.
We follow the adventure of Joel, a hardened survivor, who is hired to rescue 14-year-old Ellie from an oppressive quarantine zone. And what starts out as a small job quickly becomes a brutal and harrowing journey as they both have to cross the United States and depend on each other for their survival.

Bill is a reclusive living survivor with Frank, who knows Joel. The character is played by Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation).
Frank / Murray Bartlett

Frank is a survivor who lives with Bill. His presence in the series is a novelty since in the game, he is mentioned by Bill. And then, we then discover his corpse, because he ended his life. Frank is played by Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus).
Henry / Lamar Johnson
