The Last of Us Part 1: Teasing the next Naughty Dog license? The fans are freaking out!

The PS5 remake of The Last of Us has only been out for a few days, but gamers all over the world seem to have cracked all the secrets already from the production of Naughty Dog. Fans of the legendary license therefore analyze every detail of this HD version, looking for the slightest clue on the lore of the production, or even on the company’s future projects. While the dissection is in full swing, users have found a set of posters they think might be a real clue to Naughty Dog’s next intellectual property.

A fantastic universe for the next production of Naughty Dog?

That’s what some fans of the company’s license think. In question, a set of posters found in The Last of Us Part 1, which shows various fantastic creatures. Far from the cruelty of the cordyceps contaminated world, the one illustrated in the posters shows unicorns, dragons, or even an elven warrior. In short, a fantastic universe that totally clashes with The Last of Us.

It was not enough more to start a wave of theories around these posters. The most popular is that these would represent the theme of the next intellectual property of Naughty Dog. It could be books or video games, but fans of the license are convinced that the company has slipped there a clue about the next universe in which players will be immersed.

According to one of the users responding to the Tweet, a poster (representing the elf alongside what appears to be an eagle) is already present in The Last of Us Part 2. The poster is in very large format, hanging on a wall and visible during Abby’s adventure.

Of course, it could be simple posters, which would have been placed there completely by chance. These are fan theories and the information should therefore be taken with a grain of salt. But what makes most network users doubt is the fact that Naughty Dog had already given a nod to one of its flagship licenses in a game…

The Last of Us Part2 teased in Uncharted 4?

Here is another theory which raged after the appearance of that around the fantastic posters. In the fourth installment of Uncharted, players had noticed various nods to the first opus of Naughty Dog’s zombie license, released a few years earlier. Although the references are obvious, some users have gone further guessing that these newspapers were announcing a second installment from The Last of Us.

“It could be a teaser, but there was also this poster of The Last of Us: American Daughters in Uncharted 4 that people mistook for a teaser of TLOU 2 which would be a prequel with Ellie’s mother , which did nothing.”

While they were far from the plot of the second opus of the flagship license, the community had however managed to guess the arrival of a sequel to The Last of Us (2013). Who knows, maybe this time too, will the fans have succeeded in predicting the arrival of a next Naughty Dog production around a fantastic universe?

In the meantime, the company had recently said it was working on new projects, without revealing the nature or the exact plot. We will therefore have to wait for an official announcement. from Naughty Dog to know -officially- more about future productions, which will follow the success of The Last of Us.

Sony and Naughty Dog have launched a new batch of copies of the Firefly Editions of Last of Us: Part 1, but these sold out in minutes and are already being resold online for eye-watering sums.
