The Last Of Us Part 1: the configurations and details of the PC adaptation revealed

Is it still necessary to present The Last Of Us ? This so-called action-adventure game in a post-pandemic world, released in 2013 on PlayStation 3, then remastered for PlayStation 5 in 2022, will be adapted for PC.

Just under 20 days from its official release, PlayStation finally communicates on the configurations required to run the title in good conditions. It will thus require 100 GB of storage and Windows 10, a minimum of 16 GB of RAM being recommended.

To play in Full HD, the equivalent of a GeForce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 XT, accompanied by a hexa-core processor, is recommended. Upgrading to 1440p requires 32GB of RAM, a newer processor, and a graphics card equivalent to an RTX 2080 Ti or RX 6750 XT. Finally, for 4K, you will have to reckon with a Ryzen 9 590XX or Core i5-12600K processor and a latest generation graphics card: GeForce RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XT.

The Last Of Us Part 1 also benefits from a few PC-specific refinements. Thus, the game is compatible with the solutions ofupscaling FSR2.2 and DLSS 2.0; the V-Sync is obviously part of the game and the frame rate will be customizable.

At the level of the settings, it will be possible to modify the quality of the textures, shadows, reflections and to activate or not the ambient occlusion. As for hardware compatibility, 21:9 and 32:9 screens will be supported, as well as the Dualsense technology of PlayStation controllers.

The Last Of Us Part 1 will be available on March 28, 2023 on PC. Its TV series adaptation is still streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
