If it’s been a little over two years since the HBO series The Last of Us was announced, and despite the announcement of a postponement, here are some images that are sure to put a smile on the lips of all fans of the license .

It is on social networks that new images of the long-awaited series of fans of The Last of Us have indeed appeared.
This is abouta short video excerpt from a filming of the series in which we see our two protagonists with Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. In the latter, we therefore see the character of Ellie crossing a narrow conduit, then going to open the door for Joel.
If this scene may seem banal at first glance, it nevertheless sticks 100% with one of the scenes present in the first opus.
It didn’t take much for fans to ask for more, and from what we can see in these fresh images, it looks like HBO keeps its promises as to the fidelity of the series vis-à-vis the games.
However, before we can watch this little nugget on our screens, we will have to be patient again…
The Last of Us series, a postponed release?
In November 2021, on social networks, Neil Druckman who is then at the head of the games of the license, had announced that he had left the filming of the series. Following this statement, it is naturally that the rumors suggested that the series was over and that we would have the right to the latter for this year 2022, but it would unfortunately seem that not.
According to Casey Bloys, Chief Content Officer of HBO and HBO Maxthe latter said in an interview with Deadline that “The series will not air in 2022, they are still filming in Canada. I imagine you will see the series in 2023.“
From his impressions, it would seem that the series produced by Craig Mazina (Chernobyl) hits the nail on the head and fans shouldn’t be disappointed with the end result.
At the time of writing these lines, we have known the main characters for several months now, with, as we reminded you a little above, Pedro Pascal in the role of Joel and Bella Ramsey in the role of Ellie , but also Nico Parker as Sarah, Joel’s daughter, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, and Anna Torv as Tess.
