The main characters for the series adaptation of the game "The Last of US" have been found: Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal from "Game of Thrones".
The HBO series implementation of the video game "The Last Of Us" has found its leading actors, as "The Hollywood Reporter" reports exclusively: Bella Ramsey (17) and Pedro Pascal (45). The 17-year-old Ramsey is best known for her role as Lyanna Mormont in "Game of Thrones", she will take on Ellie. The 45-year-old Pascal had also been seen as Oberyn Martell in the fantasy series. In the adaptation of the video game, he embodies the main male role of Joel.
In the emotional and highly acclaimed video game, a mushroom turned the world into a zombie apocalypse 20 years ago. Only Ellie is immune to the fungus. Joel's mission is to smuggle the 14-year-old out of the zombie zone in order to use her to develop a cure for the fungus. Showrunner is Craig Mazin (49), who made a name for himself in 2019 with the surprise hit "Chernobyl". The Russian Kantemir Balagov ("Beanstalk") will direct the pilot. Neil Druckmann (42) is considered a screenwriter and creative director – he also co-wrote the computer game.
