It is undoubtedly one of the most promising series of 2023. The adaptation of The Last of Us is expected at the turn, and we will quickly be fixed on its quality.
In May 2019, Sony formalized the birth of PlayStation Productions, a label specially dedicated to adaptations of video game franchises in films or series. The feature film Uncharted has already seen the light of day this year, and other projects will follow in the weeks and months to come. Another iconic Naughty Dog saga will soon be in the spotlight, since it’s The Last of Us which will land on the small screen next year.
A gift to start the year off right
Thus, HBO Max took advantage of this somewhat gloomy beginning of November to confirm the broadcast date of the series based on the adventures of Joel and Ellie. The Last of Us will therefore make its debut on January 15, 2023. After a first trailer released last September, the expectation had gone up a notch. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too long…
Anyway, we still do not know the broadcaster who will be chosen for France. Indeed, the partnership between OCS and HBO ends in December, the series The Last of Us will therefore perhaps have to find a new home before arriving on our territory.
