Rockstar has a huge surprise in store for players in GTA 5 in the latest update to its Online mode. Attention that should touch the fans.
GTA 5 is a model of longevity. After its release on the PS3/Xbox 360 generation in 2013, the game was exported to the next generation before being released in an improved version in 2022 on PS5 and Xbox Series X. GTA 5 crosses the ages as well and has been so successful since its release 10 years ago, it is not necessarily thanks to its single player mode, although it is excellent and allows you to embody three different characters for the first time in the history of the series. Not if GTA 5 continues to welcome so many players every day, it owes it to GTA Online. Its online mode offers almost unlimited possibilities and regularly receives updates and additional content. Rockstar has just made a huge gift to fans of old episodes of the saga.
A nice surprise for fans in GTA 5
On June 13, Rockstar released a new update to its flagship game called GTA Online: Mercenaries of San Andreas. In addition to all the new content available in this update, the American studio has hidden a nice surprise, quickly discovered by players. Indeed, it is now possible to recover the costumes of Niko Bellic and Claude, respectively heroes of GTA 4 And GTA 3. Unfortunately, these outfits are only available in the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of the game.
To unlock them, you will have to complete the new level challenges in Career mode. In the pause menu, a new tab has appeared, allowing you to discover these many challenges to take up, each with four levels of completion. To unlock Niko Bellic’s costume, you will need to complete 25 Tier 4 challenges, compared to 20 for Claude’s. Note that the outfits of the heroes of GTA 5 are also available. Trevor’s will require you to pass 15 level 4 challenges, compared to 10 for Franklin’s and 5 for Michael’s. A nice surprise from Rockstar for fans of these cult characters.
A particularly generous update
The GTA Online Mercenaries update brings many other new features, such as new vehicles and a brand new weapon, the tactical submachine gun. Of course, the biggest piece remains Project Subversion, which includes six new missions for 1 to 4 players. In this one you will have to “scout, recover valuable equipment, perform daring rescues and fight the various cogs of the Merryweather war machine“. The players of GTA 5 will also find new private contracts named LSA operations, as well as new supply and sales missions. All of these missions should be much more enjoyable to complete thanks to this new feature included in the update that fans have been waiting for years.
