Until then a rumor… rampant, here is that the PlayStation Showcase brings Big Boss out of its box, more beautiful and in shape than ever.

We were indeed treated to a trailer of the famous remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eaterwhich will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S… but it does not come alone.

Jungle snakes better watch out

Released in 2004 on PS2, the third opus of the cult franchise Metal Gear Solid proposed a twist plot in a work that did not lack it. Exit Solid Snake, we played his “father”, Big Boss, on a mission in the middle of the jungle in the 70s.

Almost 20 years later, Konami therefore returns during last night’s PlayStation Showcase with a teaser to announce the remake of this cult opus, this time called Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

Here, we have no gameplay to put in our mouths, just a few seconds to admire a dark jungle and the charismatic face of Big Boss. No release date has been announced either. While waiting to find out more, our hero will go back to hiding somewhere, covering himself in mud…

A Master Collection to wait

But Big Boss didn’t come alone. Just after this short video, we indeed learned that a Master Collection of Metal Gear Solid will also be coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S later this fall. It is more precisely a first volume including Metal Gear Solid first of the name as well as Sons of Liberty and, while waiting for its remake, Snake Eater.

In all likelihood, a second part of this Master Collection will arrive sooner or later, and should logically be interested in the fourth opus Guns of the Patriots as well as Phantom Painthe franchise’s latest official title that also features Big Boss.

Anyway, fans of Metal Gear Solid have something to celebrate and get out of their box which had been starting to take a little dust for a few years!
