A maintenance worker discovered the lifeless body of a baby, whose age has not been specified, on a Ouigo train that arrived in Marseille-Saint-Charles. An investigation has been opened.
A macabre discovery. On the night of September 13 to 14, at Saint-Charles station in Marseille, a maintenance worker found the lifeless body of an infant in a trash can on an Ouigo train. According to the site News17, the baby, whose age is not known, was naked. Toilet paper filled with blood was also reportedly discovered.
The information has been confirmed by SNCF with the Parisian. The Ouigo train in question would have arrived at Marseille-Saint-Charles station shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday from Lille. It was only later that night, around 2:30 am, that the child’s body was found by an employee responsible for cleaning the TGV.
The circumstances of his death are unknown
The police were notified and quickly arrived on the scene. Observations have been made, advances Actu17. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the police of the departmental security. Contacted by the Parisian, the prefecture of Bouches-du-Rhône has not yet answered questions from our colleagues. At the moment, the circumstances of the infant’s death are still unknown. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that investigators have faced such a case. Last July, a baby, fortunately still alive, was found in a plastic bag near an avenue in Lyon. According to Progress, the police had nevertheless succeeded in locating and arresting the mother of the little girl.
