It’s not over for La Défense Lincoln on Netflix, which is guaranteed to return to our screens. We will explain everything to you.
Last month, the sexiest lawyer on the West Coast of the United States was back on our screens. Netflix had chosen to broadcast season 2 in two parts, a strategy it deploys on its big productions. Proof that the judicial series is one of the boxes of the streaming platform.
It is therefore not surprising to know that Netflix has renewed La Défense Lincoln for a season 3. An announcement that comes in the middle of a strike by screenwriters and actors in Hollywood, thus putting a stop to all filming. The teams therefore do not currently have the right to move forward on this sequel, which could arrive on our screens at the end of 2024 or even 2025 if the situation continues on the other side of the Atlantic.
As we explained to you in this article, season 3 of The Lincoln Defense will be adapted from the fifth book in the Mickey Haller collection, entitled “The Gods of Verdict”, written by Michael Connelly, of which here is the synopsis:
Lawyer Mickey Haller is at rock bottom. He failed in the election to the post of prosecutor, his ex moved away from him, his daughter no longer speaks to him except to reproach him. One day, he receives a text message from his assistant: Call me – 187. 187 being the code for “murder”, Haller knows that he will have to remobilize to defend the accused. But the victim, Gloria Dayton, is a prostitute whom Mickey was very fond of and whom he thought had helped him get back on the right track.
Finding out that she tricked him into continuing to prostitute herself and imagining that he may be the one who put her in danger quickly puts him under pressure. Not to mention that some would-be law enforcement officials resent Haller meddling in their business. Haunted by the ghosts of his past, the lawyer will have to work tirelessly and use all his talents to solve the case.
The actors Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Becki Newton and Angus Sampson should logically be back in this season 3 of La Défense Lincoln. It remains to be seen if Neve Campbell will sign on for this sequel, since her character decided to leave town…
