Actress and Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow is trying her hand as an investor in the new season of the US equivalent of “Lion’s Den”.

The show format “The Lion’s Den” is also extremely popular in other countries. The start-up show (in addition to Germany) also found its way to the USA via Japan and Great Britain. Instead of going into the lion’s den, the candidates have to climb into the “shark tank” – i.e. into the shark tank. In the now 14th season, which will run from September 2022, a real Oscar winner will also swim towards you: Gwyneth Paltrow (49). So it reports “People”.

However, Paltrow will not act as a permanent “shark”, rather she forms an illustrious list of guest investors with a number of other successful entrepreneurs. The fact that the Hollywood star has a good nose for successful business outside of the dream factory has been proven for many years with the company Goop.

Success meets criticism

Paltrow founded the wellness and lifestyle brand in 2008, and the company is now valued at around $250 million. However, criticism of Goop’s supposedly pseudo-scientific practices has increased over the years. Again and again, there are voices from science, according to which various products have either no positive or even negative effects on health.

Incidentally, Paltrow is not the first Hollywood star to try the format. Actor and comedian Kevin Hart (43) was there last season. Ashton Kutcher (44) was already in two episodes (season seven and ten) on the show.
