Banque Populaire and Crdit Maritime for young people, Caisse d’Epargne and Crdit Agricole for classic and premium profiles… Here is the 2023 ranking of the least expensive banks in Normandy.
In mid-November, MoneyVox unveiled its Banking Trophies, rewarding establishments that charge the best rates (1). The results have been broken down by region, which makes it possible to identify, for the 3 standard customer profiles established by the editorial staff (see the methodology), the least expensive banks in a particular territory.
Among young people, two establishments belonging to the same group (BPCE) arrive tied in Normandy and win a Trophy: Banque Populaire Grand Ouest and Credit Maritime Grand Ouest. In these banks, bank charges amount to 20 euros per year for the defined profile. The bill is notably lightened by the existence of the Cristal Essentiel package, which costs only 1 euro per month for 12-24 year olds and which includes many services. 20 euros is much less than the average for the region, which is 39.18 euros taking into account the 15 establishments present in Normandy. And it is also 20% less than the two banks that come just behind: the Crdits Agricoles Normandie and Normandie-Seine, where the Globe Trotter offer costs 24 euros per year for young people.

For the Classic profile, it is the postal bank which tops the list of the cheapest establishments in Normandy. On average, in Normandy, customers corresponding to this standard profile pay 179.25 euros (which is still much more than the invoice from online banks, where the traditional customer can pay barely 3 euros a year).
