The LoL Wild Rift Worlds get a huge partner

The mobile version of League of Legends, which is a financial hit for its publisher, will launch its first official Worlds in 2022. On the occasion of this first competitive season on the Riot game, Coca-Cola announced its arrival in the adventure as a global founding partner, ensuring the event a great promotion and perhaps a cash pool which should be of the same ilk as that of the regional leagues. Indeed, as a reminder, the Chinese WRL is for example the highest paid LoL esports league.

Wild Rift Esports, Riot’s mobile esports license, is currently played in 8 regions, with the goal of a global final, the Wild Rift Icons Global Championship from June 12 to July 10, 2022. The new partner announces the creation of “unique experiences” for fans during the competitive circuit, in particular by offering personalized rewards and experiences.

The brand will also work to build community by offering personalized rewards and experiences, including a weekly content series created in collaboration with Wild Rift to motivate, entertain and support fans. The first fruits of this partnership can be seen in the recent digital campaign called “It Must Be Real”, in which scenes from Wild Rift Esports are featured.

As a reminder, the group had already worked with LoL for the Worlds from 2014 to 2016. In the meantime, in the EMEA region, teams are in the process of qualifying for the WEC European Championship which will take place in May, with two qualifying places for the World Cup. For the moment two teams are already in contention for this WEC, Game Lord and NASR Esports. The French team Mood Gaming is already eliminated.
