Call of Duty fans? Activision’s flagship FPS is trying to expand its community with a new free game, but very strong and which has nothing to be ashamed of compared to other titles.
Despite turbulence and not always peak popularity, Call of Duty remains one of the leaders in the FPS universe. And for four years, the series has managed to bring together millions of players, without even having to release new games. How ? With the battle royale Warzone which has established itself and which has taken a piece of the Fortnite cake, PUBG… A success which has continued since today on other platforms.
A new free Call of Duty game for 120 players!
What do PUBG and Fortnite have in common that CoD Warzone didn’t have until now? A version of close to take anywhere and therefore playable in all circumstances. But that’s it, after testing phases in a restricted committee, Call of Duty Warzone Mobile is available on iOS and Android devices. A discounted edition? Not at all. Activision’s battle royale offers clashes for up to 120 players on maps that already exist on console and PC versions, such as Verdansk and Rebirth Island. “Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile features the highest number of online players of any mobile FPS Battle Royale game” indicates the official website. Other maps like Shipment, Shoot House or Scrapyard are also present.
And it is true that the publisher has pulled out all the stops since this edition refuses nothing. Not even cross-progression with Warzone console and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. What does that mean? All weapons, operators and even Battle Pass XP from these two games are also valid in Warzone Mobile. Progression is fully connected, so you can easily start a game on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S or PC, then continue playing outside. You will lose absolutely nothing and that applies to purchases made through the store.
The differences are really technical, and of course, in terms of controls. Call of Duty Warzone Mobile is forced to adapt to touch screens with various options. But for greater comfort, it is even possible to connect a controller directly.
