The Rings of Power trailer, unveiled at San Diego Comic Con 2022, focuses on the return of the Balrogs and the rise of Sauron.
A new trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power was screened at Comic-Con in San Diego, lifting the lid a little further on what’s to come in Amazon Prime Video’s highly anticipated series. Marking the third major adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s revered books after Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, The Rings of Power is set to explore the vast history of Middle-earth’s Second Age.
The series will follow both new characters and younger versions of other well-known ones as they prepare for a new war against the emergence of Evil in Middle-earth. Previous Rings of Power trailers have shown off some of what awaits viewers when the series launches in September, carefully showcasing the show’s many characters, epic battles, and spectacular universe.
The images teased all of the main races in the series, including Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves and Men, and also focused on a very young Galadriel played by Morfydd Clark. The Elf apparently plays a crucial role in the events of the series.
This new trailer shows peaceful times, but “the sky is strangeas a Dwarf puts it. Then we see Galadriel place her hand on a globe and see bloody battles unfold. hell, not to mention that we most likely get a first glimpse of Sauron and the Balrogs.
