In Tolkien’s book “The Lord of the Rings” (LotR) the story of the hobbit Frodo Baggins and his eight companions in the fictional world of Middle-earth is told. The young hobbit receives a ring from his uncle Bilbo, which turns out to be the magic ring of the villain Sauron. To save Middle-earth, Frodo and his companions must set out and destroy the Ring once and for all.
“The Hobbit” covers the prequel to LotR. Frodo’s uncle Bilbo sets out with 13 dwarves to reclaim their homeland from the dragon Smaug.
