Lucy, Susan, Edmund and Peter Pevensie, four brothers and sisters, are sent to the countryside to live with an old professor to escape the bombardments which affect the city of London during the Second World War. In the middle of a game of hide and seek, as they lock themselves inside a strange wardrobe, they discover with wonder the access to the magical world of Narnia.
Plunged into a perpetual winter by the dark and tyrannical White Witch, the inhabitants of this kingdom will need the help of the four children to help the rightful ruler, the majestic lion Aslan, to regain power.

What they will like:
- The quartet formed by Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, extremely endearing and with whom we identify immediately when we are more or less the same age.
- The magical aspect of the world of Narnia, magical and snowy, which exudes a delicious fragrance of Christmas celebrations.
- The final battle, really successful: an ideal appetizer before you can go to Helm’s Deep or to the Pelennor Fields (in Peter Jackson’s trilogy).
- The many animated animals, and especially the lion Aslan, visually very impressive for a 2005 film, and as inspiring as a Gandalf!

What may worry them:
- The White Witch and her hordes of evil creatures, much less frightening than the Orcs of Lord of the Rings, certainly, but whose appearance is likely to impress the little ones.
- The temporary duplicity of the faun Tumnus (at the beginning of the film), tried to deliver the little Lucy to the White Witch so as not to suffer the wrath of the latter.
- The fate that awaits the people of Narnia if they disobey the Witch: they are turned to stone!
