The Lord of the Rings: Gollum postponed again by several months!

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will follow the creature that was once a Hobbit in the Middle-earthwith a gameplay between adventure and infiltration. A game developed by Daedalic Entertainment and edited by Nakon announced in March 2019, first expected in 2021 then pushed back to the following year.

Last May, the studios revealed the release date of The Lord of the Rings: Gollumthen set for September 1, the day before the start of the broadcast of the series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on Amazon Prime Video Besides. But unfortunately, players will have to wait a while longer, because Daedalic has just announced that his game will undergo a second postponement, in order to improve the gaming experience. In a statement shared today, the studios explain:

Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon would like to thank all players for their patience and support so far. In recent years, the team has worked hard to offer them an extraordinary adventure in an incredible world, full of magic and wonders. We are committed to meeting the expectations of our community and providing them with the untold story of Gollum, which will honor JRR Tolkien’s vision.

That being said, and in order to provide the best possible experience, we have decided to postpone the release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum game for a few months. We will communicate the exact date soon. Daedalic and Nacon are very grateful to their community of enthusiasts, and look forward to sharing this unique adventure with them very soon.

The studios are not revealing a new release date, but it is now to be expected that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will not arrive before 2023, still on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, fingers crossed that this version now arrives at the same time as the others.
