The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria will therefore be a survival game that will take place in Fourth Ageafter the warsingle ring. Players will lead a group of Dwarfs called by Gimli to Mist Mountains to recover lost loot Khazad-dûm. The Moria will be procedurally generated, so no player will have the same mineand it will be necessary to collect resources in solo or online multiplayer to equip yourself, without making too much noise at the risk of waking up old threats.

- Multiplayer co-op : Adventure alone or cooperate with up to eight players online.
- Forge tools, weapons and more : craft and collect legendary armor, tools, weapons and structures from the craftsmanship of the Dwarves. Restore ancient forges to strengthen, repair and enchant equipment. Unlock and upgrade new technologies and fantastic machines.
- Magical artifacts : Discover objects of ancient magic such as swords that light up in the presence of Orcs, maps of Mithril, books containing forgotten crafting plans and amulets conferring strength or wisdom.
