Just before the start of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”, Amazon shows a new trailer that reveals more about the series.

In less than two weeks the time has come: The long-awaited fantasy series from Middle-earth starts with “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” on Amazon Prime Video. To get in the mood for the upcoming start of the series, Amazon has now released another trailer, which reveals a little more about the hitherto rather unknown plot. In the foreground of the video is once again the main character Galadriel, played by Morfydd Clark (33).

The new trailer shows numerous views from Middle-earth. So Galadriel visits the island kingdom of Númenor, which did not appear in Peter Jackson’s legendary film trilogy. Galadriel was played in Jackson’s films by two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett (53).

“The Rings of Power” starts with a double episode

The new trailer for “The Rings of Power” now indicates that she is apparently looking for companions in the fight against JRR Tolkien’s (1892-1973) great villain Sauron. “Help me. Our encounter was no coincidence,” Galadriel explains in the video, while some of the main characters of the series – such as Elrond (Robert Aramayo, 29), Halbrand (Charlie Vickers) and Durin IV (Owain Arthur, 39) – look into the camera watch.

Amazon’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” will start on September 2 in Germany with a double episode, after which Prime Video will continue on a weekly basis. The first season has a total of eight episodes. A second season has already been commissioned.
