8 years after its first appearance, the Action-RPG title in the sauce of the Souls of HEXWORKS offers a reboot with The Lords of the Fallen. Published by CI Games, the game is scheduled for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series for 2023.
With the Demon God Adyr defeated, the world has experienced a time of peace. But the gods don’t stay dead forever, and the tyrant’s resurrection draws near. The Dark Crusader order needs a hero to traverse the realms of the living and the dead and put an end to this. Accompanied by devilish metal, he must defeat the titanic enemies who present themselves in front of him.
Say that The Lords of the Fallen is inspired by the Souls is little. The universe, the atmosphere and the fighting style do more than pay tribute to it in this trailer. However, if the fight focuses on weapons or magic, the presence of a relic comes to energize everything. The latter allows to seize their souls to interrupt them. It also serves as a bridge between the two kingdoms. The whole bathes in a metal soundtrack which does not necessarily pay homage to the clashes.
