Leboncoin, which had already bought the site in 2018, wants to concentrate its fashion sales on a single platform.

Hurry before the good deals run out. 1er July 2023, the second-hand luxury clothing sales site Videdressing.com will close and let its merchandise be resold on Leboncoin. A decision taken despite the 900,000 visits that Videdressing still received last year. And despite a second-hand market that is doing quite well.

Leboncoin, which bought the site in 2018, therefore wants to concentrate its fashion sales on a single platform. “Out of 71 million adverts published on the site (from BonCoin, editor’s note)14 million relate to second-hand fashion“, specifies Marc Brandsma, general manager of the classifieds site at Actu.fr. If the site will be inoperative in five months, amateurs will no longer be able to buy or sell items from April 12.

In order not to lose money, Leboncoin therefore advises them to recover their online earnings in a specific “wallet” before the site is completely closed. “Today, the money in the wallet is managed by a payment provider, Leboncoin does not have access to it (…) Customers have ten years by law to recover the money but everyone process can be done automatically online,” says Éléonore Albouker, director of the Leboncoin consumer goods and services market.
