The Macron plan satisfies the hospital but disappoints city doctors

Reorganization of working time and 35 hours in the hospital, recruitment of medical assistants… The president wants to decompartmentalize and free up a health system that is out of breath.

While liberal doctors have been on strike since December 26 and the hospital remains in crisis despite the billions from the “Ségur de la santé”, Emmanuel Macron revealed on Friday, during a trip to the South Ile-de-France hospital center in Corbeil- Essonnes, his plan to solve the crisis of the health system.

The President of the Republic, who has made health a priority for his second five-year term, has announced numerous organizational measures rather than additional financial means. “In three years, the nation’s budget for health has already increased by 50 billion euros”he underlined, recalling the historical amounts of Ségur with 12 billion euros in salary increases for hospital workers and 19 billion in investments in establishments.

Determined to get out of thepermanent crisis management“, the Head of State has launched numerous projects at the hospital, already planned in his 2018 health plan but which have fallen behind with the health crisis…
