Announced in February around a discussion of upcoming games at Riot Forge, The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story won’t be long in coming. Expected on all platforms, the game retracing the adventures of Sylas will be released on April 18, 2023.
This 2D pixel-art hack ‘n’ slash is from Digital Sun (Moonligter) and will explore the rebellion waged in Demacia. While rulers seek to undo forbidden magic, some players in the milieu oppose authority. This is particularly the case of Sylas, a mage on the run who wants to be able to freely explore this power. The peace of the kingdom is threatened, forcing illustrious warriors like Garen to thwart the plans of the unleashed mage.
Very inspired by the gameplay of the revolutionary unleashed on the Rift, The Mageseeker portrays him in various situations. It will thus be possible to use his magic against guards or monsters, while improving his power over the course of the adventure. Many fights are to be expected, but notable enemies will allow you to practice the various techniques learned. It’s a game that feels both technical and jumpy, rewarding players for mastering their combos.
