The magician Dani Lary bereaved: he lost a close friend in the attack on Romans-sur-Isère: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

While the French are trying to keep morale high, faced with the confinement and the health threat of coronavirus, a new knife attack took place on April 4. In the town center of Romans-sur-Isère, in the Drôme, a 33-year-old man attacked passers-by in a butcher and a bakery. Two people were killed in the attack a 44 year old man, Julien Vinson, who was going to the bakery with his 12 year old son. The man was a close to the magician Dany Lary, who confided in the newspaper The Parisian : "Julien just had time to stand in front of his son to protect him and he took the stab wounds. He was killed in front of his son, I can't believe it, it's something sick. " The attack left two others injured, now in intensive care. The National Counter-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office has taken up the investigation.

The magician Dany Lary was a regular on the show of Largest cabaret in the world, moderated by Patrick Sébastien, arrested on May 4, 2019. He had known Julien Vinson and his family for a long time. He launched his career as an illusionist in the café-theater of Romans-sur-Isère, run by Father Christian Vinson: "I started in the 1970s with the Vinsons, I was 13 years old. I knew Julien and (his brother) Clement very young and we never left each other " he told daily.

He has fond memories of the one with whom he grew up: "Julien, he was a really nice guy, he always had a smile, always a nice and welcoming word for everyone. He was a pacifist, he always solved all the problems. " Due to sanitary measures, which limits the number of people at a funeral to ten people, Julien Vinson will not be able to have a funeral in large committee. The magician posted on April 5 a nice message of tribute to his friend on his Instagram account.
