The main measures of the “new Popular Front” project


PARIS, June 14 (Reuters) – Here are the main measures of the program of the “new Popular Front” – bringing together La France insoumise, the Socialist Party, the Ecologists and the Communist Party – unveiled on Friday.

The left-wing alliance will present single candidates in almost all of France’s 577 constituencies in the early legislative elections on June 30 and July 7.

ECONOMY :

– Blocking the prices of essential goods in food, energy and fuel by decree

– Objective of returning to retirement at 60

– Contribution on dividends, participation, employee savings, share buybacks, overtime

– Increase in the minimum wage to EUR 1,600 net, 10% increase in the index point for civil servants

– Increase in the progressiveness of income tax to 14 brackets

– In Education, repeal of the “clash of knowledge” and promotion of completely free education

EUROPE

– Refusal of the “austerity constraints” of the Fiscal Compact

– Reform of the Common Agricultural Policy

– End of free trade treaties

INTERNATIONAL

– “Immediate ceasefire in Gaza”

– Recognition of a “State of Palestine alongside the State of Israel on the basis of UN resolutions”

– Act for the release of hostages “detained since the Hamas terrorist massacres”

– Defend Ukraine against Russia “by delivering necessary weapons”

COMPANY :

– Interministerial plans to combat anti-Semitism and Islamophobia

– Stopping the Universal National Service (SNU)

INSTITUTIONS

– Introduction of proportional representation in elections

– Repeal of article 49.3 of the Constitution which allows the government to adopt a text without a vote

– Development of a law to combat gender-based and sexual violence, with a budget of EUR2.6 billion
