The man of our lives on M6: will there be a season 2?

Worn by Odile Vuillemin, Jonathan Zaccaï and Héléna Noguerra, the series “The man of our lives” is already coming to an end tonight on M6. Will this thriller in the vein of “The Tinder Scammer” be entitled to a season 2?

After only two short weeks on the air, The man of our lives, led by Jonathan Zaccaï, Odile Vuillemin, Héléna Noguerra, Flore Bonaventura and Elodie Frégé, will end this evening on M6 with the broadcast of the last two episodes.

Written by Marie Guilmineau, Alice Van den Broek and Eliane Vigneron, the series depicts the actions of a man who changes his identity to seduce his victims, whom he ends up stripping of their money after having experienced a story of love with each of them.

Having understood that they had all been taken in by Amaury/Nathan/Roman, who claimed in turn to be an airline pilot, surgeon, ex-trader or great reporter, Oriane, Camille and Mathilde will join forces to bring down this ” arnacoeur” of misfortune and obtain justice. Trying to save Iris, the latest prey of the one who took everything from them. But will they achieve it?

Without revealing the conclusion of the plot, the last episode offers a real end to the series. Despite an honest start last Thursday, with an average of 2.29 million viewers (16% of FRDA-50), L’homme de nos vies is therefore closed and will not have a sequel.

From the start, the series with Jonathan Zaccaï, who replaced another actor at the last moment in the role of the con man at the heart of the story, was thought of as a mini-series which does not call for a season 2.

A vision of fiction that seems dear to M6 since the channel has multiplied the mini-series completed for a few years, like They were ten or Sauver Lisa. Or does not order a season 2 when its series lend themselves to it, however, as was the case for Quadras or La Maison d’en face (often due to a lack of audience).

Viewers who enjoyed The Man of Our Lives will, however, soon be able to find the actors in new fictions.

Jonathan Zaccaï is currently filming the TV movie La Joie de vivre for France 2, Flore Bonaventura has just finished filming the police unit Meurtres sur la Côte Fleurie, and Héléna Noguerra will be in the credits in 2023 of the film BDE by Michaël Youn, intended for Prime Video.

As for Odile Vuillemin, we can find her in the fantastic series Prometheus, alongside Thomas Jouannet and Marie-Josée Croze, which will be available tomorrow on Salto, before arriving on TF1 in a few weeks.
