Fans of The Mandalorian are going to be delighted! According to the Hollywood Reporter, the third season of the series derived from the Star Wars universe offered Christopher Lloyd, the legendary Doc from Back to the Future.
A great new recruit! According to information from HollywoodReporter, Christopher Lloyd has joined the cast of The Mandalorian, whose third season is currently filming in California. For the moment, we don’t know anything about the character that the actor, unforgettable Doc, will play in the Back to the Future saga. But for Christopher Lloyd, accustomed to roles in science fiction productions, this new challenge must be particularly pleasing. Because in addition to having embodied the character of Emmett Brown in Back to the future, he also played the Klingon commander Kruge in Star Trek III. For the moment, the third season of The Mandalorian is still quite mysterious, even if Pedro Pascal had sown clues.
“There will be familiar faces and there will be lots of new faces. Plus, there’s still plenty of action and a great story,” assured the actor, who plays the role of Din Djarin alias the Mandalorian. Around him, viewers should find Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, and Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon. While no release date has yet been officially announced, chances are it will be Fall/Winter 2022.as was the case for previous seasons. “Plus, there’s still a lot of action and a great story”added Pedro Pascal about this third season, which will begin after the separation of Din Djarin and Grogu, who left to train to master the Force with Luke Skywalker.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: when is the series expected?
While waiting for the eight new episodes of The Mandalorian, Star Wars fans will be able to see the first season of Obi-Wan Kenobi, which is due to begin on May 25, 2022 on Disney+. Around Ewan McGregor, who finds his Jedi costume seventeen years after Star Wars, episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Joel Edgerton will take over the role of Owen Lars and Hayden Christensen that of the iconic Darth Vader. Bonnie Piesse, Sung Kang, Indira Varma, Kumail Nanjiani and O’Shea Jackson Jr. also appear in the cast.
