Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd is set to star in Disney+’s Star Wars series The Mandalorian.

Christopher Lloyd (83) takes on a role in “The Mandalorian” from Disney +. That reports the US page “The Hollywood Reporter”. The Back to the Future actor adds another sci-fi franchise to his stellar career with his new character in the Star Wars series.

Details about his character in The Mandalorian season 3 have not yet been announced. Lloyd will most likely have a guest role though. The exact number of his episodes is unknown. The release date of the upcoming episodes, which are currently being filmed in Southern California, is still unclear.

Next sci-fi hit coming?

From 1985, 1989 and 1990, Lloyd played the time-traveling scientist Dr. Emmett Brown. On the sci-fi front, he also played the villainous Klingon Commander Kruge in Star Trek III: The Search for Mr. Spock (1984). Lloyd won several Emmys throughout his life: in 1982 and 1983 he was awarded for “Taxi” and in 1992 for “Road to Avonlea”.
