If you can’t wait to follow the misadventures of the Mandalorian and his adorable companion Grogu again, we take a look at the information already revealed on the 3rd season.

While the conclusion of The Mandalorian season 2 foreshadowed the end of the Mandalorian and Grogu’s shared journey with the entry of Luke Skywalker to train the Child to become a Jedi, the events of The Book of Boba Fett have turned the order of things upside down.

Presented with a real dilemma, that of continuing his Jedi training or joining the man he considers a father, Grogu warmed the hearts of fans by turning to the second option.

In season 3, the Mandalorian and Grogu will head to Mandalore, home planet of Din Djarin. Indeed, written off by his own for having removed his helmet and shown his face, the latter wishes to redeem himself with the Mandalorians.

He also has in his possession the famous Dark Saber, an invaluable weapon for his community. Which does not seem to please Bo-Katan Kryz, who will play an important role in these new episodes.

One thing is certain, this 3rd season promises to be just as epic as the previous ones, if not more according to Jon Favreau, creator of the series. “We have some really cool space battles, […] and the long-talked-about planet Mandalore. We will discover the culture of the Mandalorians, and find many exceptional actors already present in previous seasons […].”

“It’s a very ambitious season, a lot of our directors are back. We have an experienced team that has worked together for a long time, and I think a lot of people will appreciate what we have in store for them,” he said at the CCXP convention in Brazil, as reported by Collider.

Jon Favreau also promises many gifts for the spectators: “Not everything will be a huge surprise, but every week should offer something unexpected”.

For his part, Giancarlo Esposito, interpreter of Moff Gideon, is also very enthusiastic: “I think the show gets bigger and deeper visually as the seasons go by,” he underlined at the microphone of Collider. The actor even goes so far as to compare each episode to real movies. “It’s a visual and sonic extravaganza […].

This season, Pedro Pascal will be surrounded by Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze) and Carl Weathers (Greef Karga). A brand new recruit will join them in the person of Christopher Lloyd (Back to the future).
