Filming of The Mandalorian & Grogu in 2024

Filming is scheduled to begin in 2024, the announcement states. In fact, it appears that the film will likely replace season 4 of The Mandalorian. Until now, its start of production was mentioned for fall 2024. This has not been officially confirmed, but it is difficult to believe that Lucasfilm will add series filming in parallel with that dedicated to the film.

Naturally, we should find most of the known faces in the cast, including Pedro Pascal (if he doesn’t just voice the Mandalorian), Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga) and Emily Swallow (l ‘Mandalorian armorer), to name only the main names in the casting. We should also see a bunch of other heads already crossed.

Another notable element of the Lucasfilm press release: the film The Mandalorian & Grogu is presented as an additional feature film, which is added to the three others already planned. The film ” will add to Lucasfilm’s slate of feature films in development, which includes films led by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold and Dave Filoni “, we can read.

It is therefore obviously a fourth film that Lucasfilm is launching. The other three include a film centered on Rey Skywalker, another on the dawn of the Jedi order 25,000 years ago and a third on the “mandoverse”, which will bring together the series The Mandalorian, Ahsoka and The Book of Boba Fett. No release date for the film The Mandalorian & Grogu is not given.
