The Mandalorian & Grogu: Sigourney Weaver in the cast of the next Star Wars film?

After battling terrifying creatures in the franchise Alien and befriended the inhabitants of Pandora in the saga Avatar, Sigourney Weaver is in discussions to join another science fiction monument: the Star Wars universe. As confirmed Varietythe American actress would indeed negotiate her participation in the film The Mandalorian & Grogu.

New trip into space

The next Star Wars film will therefore perhaps be Sigourney Weaver’s next project, with George Lucas’ universe joining the list of iconic pop-culture franchises in which she has already participated. As a reminder, apart fromAlien and D’Avatarthe actress has also been seen in several films Ghostbusters.

The Mandalorian & Grogu is a film derived from the Disney+ series The Mandalorianwhich focuses on the adventures of Din Djarin, a solitary bounty hunter who has taken under his wing Grogu, a small being of the same species as the famous Master Yoda.

The series, created by Jon Favreau (Iron Man), currently has three seasons, and a fourth was written to take into account the events of other Star Wars series such as Ahsoka.

If his entry into the casting is confirmed, Weaver will play the role of Pedro Pascal, who should take over the role of the Mandalorian in this film directed by Favreau and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni.
