The Mandalorian: Pedro Pascal reveals that he no longer plays in the Star Wars series!

During a roundtable organized by The Hollywood Reporter, Pedro Pascal revealed that most of his scenes in the series “The Mandalorian” are shot by a double!

Finally, Pedro Pascal is a human like the others. The 48-year-old actor is currently essential, with leading roles in two successful series (The Mandalorian and The Last of Us) as well as in a short film by Pedro Almodovar screened at Cannes, to which are added numerous projects in the cinema (including Gladiator 2).

How can Pedro Pascal appear in so many different productions? The question was put to him by our colleagues from HollywoodReporterand the main interested party’s response confirmed a long-standing rumor about his participation in the Star Wars series.

Thus, the interpreter of The Mandalorian revealed that he hardly turns the series anymore, the mask worn by his character allowing him to be easily replaced by a lining, and in this case by two linings: Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder , both credited in the credits of the program in the same way as Pedro Pascal.

Originally, the latter should however have turned physically in the series, as he explained to several of his fellow actors in this round table organized by the Hollywood Reporter: “There was a lot of testing, with me inside the suit most of the time, but my body wasn’t ready for that for several months.”

Due to physical pain, especially in the neck, Pedro Pascal therefore delegated the interpretation of the Mandalorian to linings. Which explains why it was decided in the plot that by returning to the order of the Mandalorians, Din Djarin can no longer remove his mask to reveal his face.

Since his role in the Star Wars series is now limited to dubbing, this time saving has allowed him to make himself available to devote himself to other projects. Which explains how the latter was able to film the Star Wars series and The Last of Us in parallel. To the delight of fans of the “daddy” of internet!

All three seasons of The Mandalorian are available now on Disney+.
