Discover all the easter eggs and hidden details that should not be missed in the fourth episode of season 3 of “The Mandalorian”, available on Disney +!

Warning, spoilers. It is advisable to have seen episode 4 of season 3 of The Mandalorian before continuing to read this article.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian is in full swing on the Disney+ platform. Fans of the Star Wars universe have the pleasure of seeing Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu reunited for new adventures that are as fun as they are dangerous!

After a detour to Mandalore, where the bounty hunter bathed in the Living Waters to regain his status as a Mandalorian, and a passage to Coruscant where Dr. Pershing, former henchman of Moff Gideon, is struggling to try his hand at a life from office worker under the New Republic, make way for a new chapter of The Mandalorian!

In the fourth episode of season 3, Din Djarin and his little companion Grogu are now part of the Mandalorian clan on the planet of refuge, after the success of the hero played by Pedro Pascal in the Living Waters of Mandalore. This is also the case of Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), who has also been rehabilitated.

This chapter, directed by Carl Weathers, the interpreter of Greef Karga, stages a new rescue mission for Din Djarin and his family, since an orphan, already appeared in the first episode of season 3, is kidnapped by a sand dragon. For his part, Grogu continues his apprenticeship within the Mandalorians.

And as in each episode of the Disney+ series, many nods and easter eggs to the Star Wars saga have slipped into this section. Here are all the hidden details that absolutely should not be missed in episode 4 of season 3 of The Mandalorian!

The flashback to the Jedi Temple of Grogu

Disney+

Left with the armorer while Din Djarin left to rescue the orphan, Grogu recalls a painful moment from his past, with the forge revealing the Mandalorians’ weaknesses. These are Grogu’s final moments at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant as Order 66, or the Jedi Purge, was initiated.

This passage then takes place at the same time as the events of the film Revenge of the Sith. Grogu manages to get out of it thanks to the Jedi who lose their lives there.

Kelleran Beq

Disney+

Upon exiting the Jedi Temple, Grogu is rescued by Kelleran Beq, a Jedi Master who first appeared on the game show Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge which challenges young Padawans through a series of obstacles to determine who will become a Jedi. The show, available on the web, is hosted by Ahmed Best.

The latter therefore resumes his role of Kelleran Beq in The Mandalorian but he is also known for having been the voice of Jar-Jar Binks in the Star Wars prelogy.

The ship and the soldiers of Padmé Amidala

Disney+

Attacked by Stromtroopers “returned” by Palpatine’s Order 66 and the establishment of the Empire, Jedi Master Kelleran Beq and Grogu manage to escape thanks to precious help: that of some Naboo soldiers and their vessel. As a reminder, Naboo is the home planet of Princess then Senator Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman).

Grogu’s armor takes shape

Disney+

The armorer has forged Grogu his next piece of armor, a washer that matches Din Djarin’s. It bears the symbol of a mudhorn. This is the big creature that Din Djarin and the Child killed in the second episode of The Mandalorian.

This fight brought them closer and the mudhorn became the crest of the clan formed by Din Djarin and Grogu. As a reminder, the first piece of Grogu’s armor was the beskar chain mail, which he had received in The Book of Boba Fett.

Kyrimorut

Disney+

The whereabouts of the sand dragon that abducted the Mandalorian orphan worries the clan, who are unsure if they can scale the mountains. But Bo-Katan explains that the place in question is lower than the peaks of Kyrimorut.

This name refers to an isolated fortress located in Mandalore. It was the home of the Skirata clan but also of all the clones and jedi who wanted to hide from the Empire. This place appeared in particular in the book Republic Commando: True Colors.

Return of the Crocodile

Disney+

Eventually, Din Djarin manages to save the Mandalorian orphan after a fierce fight against the sand dragon. The latter falls into the water and is attacked and killed by a kind of crocodile. Audiences have already seen a creature of this creepy species in The Mandalorian Season 3 premiere.

The kidnapped orphan is the son of Paz Vizsla

Disney+

When the Mandalorians find the trail of the orphan taken by the sand dragon, Paz Vizsla (Tait Fletcher) explains to his brothers and sisters in arms that it is his son and his name is Ragnar. House Vizsla is one of the most powerful and influential clans in the Mandalorian world. This means that Bo-Katan Kryze will certainly have a strong contender for the throne of Mandalore in the future.

Bo-Katan and the Mythosaurus

Disney+

The armorer takes Bo-Katan to the forge to repair his armor as he is missing a shoulder pad. Bo-Katan asks her to put the Mythosaur seal on it and she explains to him that she saw a real Mythosaur.

She references her experience in the Living Waters on Mandalore, in The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 2. The armorer then launches an enigmatic reply: “When you walk the Way of Mandalore, you will see many things. Such is the Way”. The Armorer is unaware that Bo-Katan removed his helmet during the campfire out of sight before going to rescue Paz Vizsla’s son.
