The Mandalorian: season 4 would arrive sooner than expected

While season 3 of The Mandalorian should not be broadcast on Disney + before next February, we already know a little more about season 4, and in particular its planned release date.

The Mandalorian Season 2

When the Star Wars series The Mandalorian returns next year, it will be more than two years since the second season ended. Disney+ has already officially announced that the third season will arrive in February 2023, and it is possible that a fourth season will arrive soon after.

Indeed, the latest issue of Production Weekly (a reliable source of industry-related filming information) says The Mandalorian season four is already in production, and that filming could begin as early as September 2022precisely one year after the start of filming for season 3.

The Mandalorian Season 4 Could Arrive As Soon As 2024

Everything seems to indicate that this time we won’t have to wait another two years before discovering the continuation of the adventures of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu, alias Baby Yoda. Based on this filming date, we can already estimate that the fourth season of the flagship series in the Star Wars universe should arrive at the beginning of the year 2024.

Either way, the announcement of a season 4 is great news for Mando fans. Just like previous seasons, it should be divided into eight episodes of just under an hour.

While waiting for the release of the third season of The Mandalorian, you can go discover a making-of episode which focuses on the genesis of one of the strong sequences of season 2. We also advise you to go watch the series The Book of Boba Fett to discover some clues on what will happen in season 3.

Until then, Disney + will launch its new series Andor, which traces the adventure of Cassian Andor, played by Diego Luna. As a reminder, this is a character who appeared in the movie Rogue One. The series should focus on the Rebels, as we could see in the first trailers.
